The concept is a great one: finding a new way to bring Scripture to the hearts and minds of children. Although this is a good attempt I'm not quite sure producer Jason Houser has quite cracked the formula. The album is a US offering that tries to combine Scripture with American rock style music; a great and original idea, but the way it comes across somehow doesn't quite gel together. It's well packaged with a set of nicely designed Scripture cards. And there are a couple of outstanding tracks in "Do Not Be Anxious" and "Call To Me", which has more than a hint of Phil Collins to it. Musically speaking, the quality is there and the lead vocals are great. It becomes frustrating though when some of the potential impact is then lost when the kids' choir make the songs sound more like an episode of Sesame Street.
