Seraphim are a five-piece based at the Bootle Christian Fellowship in Liverpool and clearly they don't like musical change in Bootle. For the first track on this single, with its staccato drumming and grandiose keyboard lines, is the kind of progressive rock sounds ‘70s bands used to pitch at swathes of student devotees. Now I’m no prog rocker but I’d say “Touch” captures that era’s rock sound rather effectively. “Hold On” and a live “Searching” are a little less confident and Lee’s lead vocals aren’t the most musical I’ve heard. But it’s still an intriguing release for 2003.
