Seun Ebenezer Akinwusi, although born in Nigeria and now resident in London, seems to have a talent for creating a Caribbean groove whenever he and his pals David McLeod and Mike Pallett go into the studio. David arranges and acts as programmer, Seun brings his guitar, and Mike adds alto, soprano and tenor saxophones and flute in a style reminiscent of Justo Almario. Take a few old hymns ("What A Friend", "All To Jesus I Surrender", "Blessed Assurance" amongst others), stir in a few West African songs, whip up that cool rhythm, then grab a few cans of ice cold Lilt, chill out and enjoy some real mood music. Recommended.
