This five piece outfit from McComb, Mississippi have been around for 10 years and have built up a loyal following through years of live appearances. This hard work resulted in Billboard success in 2011 with the single "New Beginning". Move forward to 2013 and we see the release of this professionally produced EP, the sound quality of which belies their unsigned status. Having previously worked with Travis Wyrick (producer for P.O.D., Disciple and Spoken) you can certainly hear the influences of these bands in their music. There are elements of rapcore, straight on metal and even nods towards some hardcore growls. The music is appealing and accessible guitar-driven heavy rock. The two guitars of Tommy Killingsworth and Devan Dickerson work well against one another producing rhythmically tight, pleasingly structured songs. "So Strong" and "Horror Story" are two examples that hook the listener in with their catchy choruses. Of the six tracks all have a touch of quality and point towards the talent this group possess. I would, however, suggest that their chosen style has missed the boat by about 10 years as these tracks sound like they were taken from an early Pillar album. Nevertheless, fans of the likes of Thousand Foot Krutch will enjoy their sonically glossy chart rock but there was not really enough spit and passion for me to award this a top rating.
