For all the modern funk excitement of the opening cut "You Don't Know", this soon settles into being a pretty straight forward gospel choir experience that you'd expect from producer John P Kee. So. "Been So Good To Me" explodes into a call and response celebration: "Shall Not" is an unexceptional treatment of "Wait On Him" and the standard "I Shall Not Be Moved". However, there are some spine tingling moments too, the joy of "Spirit" with Eric Hall's sweet vocals counter pointing Shawn McLemore's growl. When Shawn slows things down on '"Your Love", things get soulful and intimate which works well. The very mellow "What He's Done For Me" covers the same lyrical ground as the opening cut "You Don't Know" which itself is then remixed at the end of the CD so you're left with a feeling of lyrical deja vu! However, musically Shawn McLemore suddenly vamps into Shawn Mae with a hip hop remix which stands out amongst what is mainly a fairly bland plod through some gospel cliches.
