"Hold On" has all the bombastic drive and snarling attitude you'd expect from a band confident enough to grab the opportunity that a record label debut offers while resisting the temptation to clone the Coldplay sound which makes much CCM rock so stereotypical. There's enough edge in the guitar work and screamed bits in the vocals to draw in some hard music headbangers and enough catchy hooks to ensure that pop fans will come back for more. Lead singer Ryan Edberg is most effective when the rhythms are heaviest like on "Vicious" and the first single "Lights Out" but even on a power ballad like "Be Still" he manages to pour heart and passion into his performance while the production is sonically rich throughout. Some of the cuts on 'Lights Out' remind me of Kutless before they wimped out and settled for safe worship-by-numbers. I suspect the live performances of these Minneapolis-based rockers are every bit as electrifying as this album in which case they could make quite an impact as long as the Coldplay-obsessed Christian radio gatekeepers give them the airplay.

Product Description
Music is a powerful thing. It has the ability to affect people's attitudes, to alter their thinking and even influence their lifestyles. There is no shortage of musicians or bands, in fact quite the opposite, our nation doesn't need another band. It doesn't need a new "Idol". What our nation needs are Christians that stand up for truth. In a country that confuses love with tolerance, we need a voice in the night - Silverline exists to be a part of that voice.

What began as three guys playing songs in a basement has transformed quickly into one of the most sought after bands in the USA. Silverline has performed and ministered to youth in over 43 states. When promoters and pastors are seeking out youth ministries that are not only relevant, but also willing and able to share the uncompromising Word of the Lord, Silverline is at the top of the list. After the success of many singles and now with their hit Voices In The Night reaching number 2 on the charts, Silverline is poised to break through the boundaries of the "Christian Music Industry".

The stage show is second to none. Electricity fills the room with energy from the first note. Thick guitars, explosive drums and soaring melodies blend to become the perfect mix of intensity and emotion. Passionate frontman, Ryan Edberg, delivers thought provoking and anointed lyrics. "The best singer you've never heard," says Jason DeZurik of Worldview Warriors, "the band is ready to take the message of Christ to the nations."

Silverline enjoys the privilege of sharing the stage with hundreds of well - known bands such as Red, Brian "Head" Welch, Disciple, P.O.D., Hawk Nelson, Newsboys, Sanctus Real, TFK and dozens of others. Not to mention selling thousands of CD's independently and touring countless dates over the past few years.

The real success is the many lives impacted for the kingdom of Heaven! Silverline stays committed to being a... Voice in the Night!
