Simon Farrell currently lives in the Midlands, but has not always done so. He came to England in 1997 after the volcanic eruptions in his native island of Monserrat. All nine tracks on this album have been written by Simon himself. I have listened to this album several times to find something positive to say about it but apart from a few deft touches from producer Ruben King and some excellent female backups there is very little. Simon's gruff voice seems well past its best while the songwriting is clumsy and stilted. I know how deflating it can be when you put a lot of time and effort into something, only for someone to criticise and pull it down, but Simon needs to try harder on his next album. It has been Simon's dream for over 15 years to record an album. I would like to encourage Simon and anyone else who is in this position, to never, ever give up on your dreams.
