This six track EP from Simon Parkin is an impressive independent release. Musically it is well produced providing a full sound surrounded by loops and sample sounds. The lead vocals are very distinct and are not afraid to use a wide range, even with some glimpses of falsetto. Backing up on a couple of tracks are the beautiful vocals of Cathy Burton, (lead singer of Blueberry), which fall actually into place on the acoustic tracks. Also appearing on the album are the guitar talents of Tom Mills from up and coming band Fruit. The EP starts well with probably the best track 'And If'. Initially, simply acoustic guitars and vocals with the large impact of a full band later providing greater impact and power. Another track standing out would be 'Only You', a quieter more reflective song, and 'Could I Be' with the addition of orchestral instruments creating a touching mood. The overriding focus of the EP is worship, and the alternative edge of Parkin gives it is impressive.

I was with Simon at university when he was writing this album and was in possession of an access both areas badge for the launch. He was and remains amazing.
