Take one fine album, which from the seriously funky opening cut "Power" (a turntable hit on Cross Rhythms radio) to the smouldering "Work It Out" "bonus track" where crossover jazz legend Ramsey Lewis throws in some delicious piano licks and add to it a second DVD featuring live performances of seven of the songs plus electrifying renditions of "Amazing Grace" and "Revive Us Again" interspersed with interview fragments and even a bonus video of Smokie's earlier hit "I Need You Now". The concert footage is exciting stuff, a three camera shoot bringing out a surprisingly charismatic stage presence while the rich interchange between Smokie's extraordinarily acrobatic vocals and the choir is a joy to listen to. If you feel a certain deja vu beholding the latest Hillsong DVD, maybe it's time to catch Smokie praising God with all his being. Marvellous stuff.
