Despite being from Ukraine, these four young Russian-speaking brothers have recorded a typical US rock band album with a punchy rhythm section, guitar riffs and husky American-accented vocals. Understandably they are trying to reach American teens, which probably explains their rather generic sound. The album is largely made up of a rather simple, melodic and mid-tempo bunch of songs. There are a few catchy tunes such as the "The Place" and "Reconcile" which have been getting play on US Christian networks. Lyrically the album is quite emotive, speaking of the boys' relationship with God and his compassionate character. The title track especially has truth and meaning behind the words as it describes the state of us as fragile people. If you enjoy Lifehouse (one of the band's influences) you'll probably go for this. And any Cross Rhythms reader who has read their story will know there are some powerful spiritual roots beneath the Belonozhko brothers.
