You'll be aware of People's Albums 1 & 2 (Vol 1 was especially good) - here the concept goes global, with a collection of new songs by lesser-known writers from such nations as South Africa, Holland, Canada, Switzerland...and the UK! Sung mainly by British vocalists, the set is very much in the Soul Survivor style, with Tim Hughes and Martyn Lazell leading on several strong tracks and Mr Redman donning vocals on another. Cathy Burton and Vineyard's Brenton Brown do justice to other songs - and I'm stuck to name one poor track on the entire disc. We'll be hearing more, not only from these seasoned singers, but also from a growing and obviously talented pool of international contemporary writers.
