This is a six-track mini-album from the Liverpool based hip-hop group, and quite fine it is too. The rhythms are crisp and sharp, featuring live sounding drums, the bass is deep and full and the other musical content is more inventive and interesting than a lot of National Top 40 fodder. The grooves are varied in feel and style too, from chilled out laid back grooves through to Asian-influenced trippy beats and slow head-nodding cruise-the-'hood-with-the-roof-down vibes. The rapping from the three lads is mature and strong, you know they mean what the say and say what they mean, and deserve respect for the stories they tell. They draw influence from several of the current top rappers from USA, though thankfully without the need for any "beep" machines! Actually the lyrics are easy to hear and understand: they rap clearly and it's been well recorded to pickup all the nuances of the vocals. This is one of the best hip-hop releases to ever appear from the UK Christian scene.
