Spring Harvest's reputation as a long standing and top class outlet for new worship music speaks for itself and the latest in a long line of music score books succeeds in carrying on this tradition. Refreshingly, 75 of the songs on offer are new and, with a generous 100 songs from a whole host of praise music's top writers within its pages, this book is certainly value for money even before we get to its extra features. Talking of which, the list is almost endless - obvious additions such as guitar chord charts and scriptural and thematic indexes are a given these days but the inclusion of items like worship advice articles and tips on a variety of praise-related subjects will prove to be an enhancing resource for worship leaders the length and breadth of the country. Elsewhere, an essay on the ins and outs of liturgy by CCM stalwart Sue Rinaldi is a fascinating read and - my personal favourite - some inspired Twitter-influenced "Twitturgies" provide soundbite contributions from Christian writer Gerard Kelly aimed at inspiring users of this fantastic book to further glorify God.
