It pleases me that churches and events are drawing more new songs from home, rather than using successful foreign imports. The British worship scene has a lot more on offer than it is given credit for and this recording proves it. Of the 12 'New Songs', 10 show the talents of our own bunch, while the other two equally impressive tracks hail from the land of the kangaroo. Accomplished artists aplenty - including Ben Castle, Nanette Welmans and a Wade Brother, along with good production and arrangements, make this a very powerful and appealing performance. "Shout To The Lord" and "You Are My Passion" particularly stood out. If you want to teach your church new and inspiring songs, buy this, but if you want some good songs to enjoy at home, buy this anyway.
