Espying the street cred inlay artwork, for one glorious moment I thought Spring Harvest, creaking under the weight of admin by committee, had got really radical with their praise-pitched-at-teenagers. But despite the name of the gloriously voiced soul gospeller Tracey Rig-gan appearing in the backing singer credits, this is tired youth praise which is a long way from the rock-pop arrangements of the best Songs Of The Vineyard, let alone the cutting-edge radical rave praise of teams like The Late Late Service and Last Daze. There's hardly a funky backbeat in ear shot, the arrangements languish in recycled-riff banality despite all producer Johnny Markin's efforts and only the worshipful "At The Foot Of The Cross" by Derek Bond really worked. Spring Harvest needs to do some work to make their worship culturally relevant to today's youth.
