The blurb writer on the CD cover writes: "Join conductor and arranger Paul Leddington Wright and the St Michael's Singers in this festival of great hymns, devoted to the joy of singing praise to God." And this collection does exactly what it says on the cover. Your reviewer feared another run through of all the usual suspects but the arrangements are really very well done. The glory of these genuine classics is allowed to shine through but there is enough of interest to make it worth concentrating and the St Michael's Singers do sing very well. One quibble: 12 songs in 45 minutes is not very generous.
