This is a single with four tracks on it, one of which is a radio edit of the title track. I love this band's sound and the mood they capture. Their music is very heavy and slow, with the vocals sung, in fact it's more like breathed, melodically over the top of a very heavy guitar and bass sound. They always keep you guessing and the songs never lack purpose and direction. They quieten down at the beginning of "Le Vainqueur" and the change from loud to soft always seems perfect for the atmosphere of the song. The B sides are softer sounding, especially "Starflyer 2000 - The Reprise" which is excellent. The lyrics aren't provided with the single, but judging by the atmosphere that the songs create and the Bible reading given on the cover, they are about sin, loneliness, purpose and love. Make sure you check out the amazing guitar playing which creates the sound of seagulls and a creaky old-fashioned ship on the end of the full length "Le Vainqueur"!
