I've long had a treasured dusty corner in my album collection devoted to Aussie gospel (Hartsteen, Chris Pringle, Peter Beveridge) and often wondered when the Brits and the Big Buck Americans would pick up and promote some of the excellent Antipedian pop gospel talent. Now at last a start's been made and if Messrs Blanton and Harrell put a tenth of the promo budget into the excellent Mr Grace as they do into a Michael W Smith or Amy we could see Australia's first international CCM star. This is excellent pop/rock gospel, with a nice line in thunderous drumming on the rockers, though it's the ballads like the lilting "Lessons Of The Heart" or the country-tinged "Australian Country Towns" which I keep returning to. Check this man out.
