Originally put out in 1991, Steve Green's 'Hide 'Em In Your Heart' is a collection of simple kids' songs based on a Bible verse to help kids learn some Scripture. A cheery Steve introduces each song in a patronising children's TV presenter style and then a kid reads the Scripture and then there are short snappy singalong type songs. Steve sings some of them and the kids sing others. It's all very nice but there seems to be lots of this stuff about and having all those cute American accents doesn't endear me to these recordings. It's all a bit too much apple pie! Can't fault the intention, it's just the execution that is cringe-making. There's a DVD that also accompanies this disc but it was set to the American region so I have no idea what it's like. Ho hum.
