Having found Mr Chapman's last outing a trifle overblown and occasionally veering towards that 'inspirational' Steve Green-style which has a huge US market but which takes the enamal from this reviewer's teeth, I am delighted to report that this is a storming return to top form for the Dove Award winner. Those who like their recording artists to find a style and stay rigidly within it will be bemused by The Great Adventure'. For musically Steven has now taken the bull by the horns and alongside those gently poignant songs of devotion which have gained him his huge American following there is country (with guest Ricky Scaggs), soul-gospel (BeBe Winans guesting) and, most surprising of all, a move into dance-rap with DC Talk's Toby McKeehan making with the rhymes on "Got To B Tru". The thought of someone as irrevocably clean-cut as Steven Curtis Chapman taking it to the streets may cause a smile. But if you're looking for CCM produced to the highest quality this is one to get
