First off a biographic note. Stephen Thompson isn't the famed Steve Thompson, worship producer/keyboard wiz of this parish. Stephen's letter included with this demo states that he started writing songs at the age of 14 and that he really wants to write for kids. This 2-song home recording gives the listener an idea of the kind of thing that Steve might be able to achieve if he had a bit of a budget to work with. Vocals are a little muffled at times and the whole rhythm section sounds like a 'casio' soundbank rather than well programmed disk sounds. Having said that, Stephen tries hard to go for melodies that are catchy and to be fair you might need to work a little harder mate! Still, don't be discouraged. If you could hear some of the demos supplied by many of the UK's top CCM dudes you would know what I mean! I'm guessing that Stephen is still pretty young and the advice at this point would be keep at it...there is a little spark there!
