Stewart Henderson is no stranger to the world of poetry, his work having been broadcast to a mass audience on BBC radio and numerous other media. 'Vesper Sky' brings Stewart, his wife Carol and acclaimed singer Yvonne Lyon together, alongside a group of outstanding musicians including the renowned guitar veteran Bryn Haworth. The result is an outstanding, thought provoking and challenging listen. The opener "After The Fall" is a prime example of lyrics that both challenge the mind while Yvonne's sublime vocals delight the ears! Music is interspersed with Stewart and Carol's poetry readings. "Eyes Down" is a brilliant look at our addiction to technology and how we "appear from above" and a plea to "look up". "Breakages" reflects on how we will be broken "by many things". There is also humour amongst the serious. "Perfect Fit" will put a smile on your face as Stewart reflects how he doesn't always in fit to all things around him. I found this collection truly inspiring which delivers something new with every listen.

This is an inspiring mix of poetry and music, some of which is immediately accessible and some of which has hidden depths which encourage reflection and re-visiting. Great for car journeys. I love the contrast of Carol and Stewart’s voices and the way Yvonne’s beautiful singing adds another dimension to the poetry. It is funny, moving and meaningful.
