A good band, new to us though this is their second tape. After a jokey sample intro, Stoplever explode into a heavy, grungy romp called "Sonic 3". It's the second song on this 4-song tape "With A Song" which intrigues most. Inspired by the writing of Stephen Lawhead it's an astonishing mix of influences, with a reggae groove on the intro and before crunching into a full throttle wall of sound, and over the whole ebbing and flowing audio surges, singer Paul Davies picks some mandolin. If you crossed Eden Burning with Gethsemane Rose you might get a sound like this. All I know is it works.
