One of the most distinctive voices in pop is back! What Sue delivers - praise music with a 90s dance groove - is a sound which will connect with yesterday's Heartbeat fans while getting a new generation to praise the Lord with their feet as well as their voice. Those who'd caught Sue's recent Alliance Tour with Caroline Bonnett and Shirley Novak will know that Sue can deliver a song with just an acoustic and they and ageing Heartbeat buffs might be a tad dismayed that so many cuts on 'Love Eternal' have been pitched so courageously at clubland. But for others it's taking worship to meet a new generation. My favourites are the club mix version of Kendrick's "From Heaven You Came", the update of the old Heartbeat dancer "The Chant" and the haunting, jazz-tinged ballad "Covenant Of Love". A fine album.
