This album features an interesting selection of self-penned, acoustic and electric songs. Tad Donley is best known for his work with old skool metal band Warrior but here he forsakes the face paint and classic riffs to offer, with singer Becka Goodrich, a perplexing variety of styles. It doesn't quite work. Rather than revelling in the variety, one is left with confusion as to the purpose and direction Tad is taking. The songs are okay and are stronger musically than lyrically as Tad veers dangerously close to evangelical cliché. The strongest song, or specifically the one with the most memorable hook, is "For Jesus", which replayed itself in my head for most of the day. However, the album's main weakness is that the performances just aren't tight enough. Tad's intentions are clearly good but this 1998 album simply doesn't hold up today.

I'm just pleased to be alive and well. Thank all of you for your emails and letters. I'm working on a new (3rd) CD called "WARRIOR II". Have a great day.

Just wanted to say Hi. You can hear four of our songs at www.myspace.com/warriorrocks. We've got a new lineup of men in the band and we're toning down the message to perform to more secular people who really need the help, so pray for us. I want to thank you all for your support. To many years ahead!
