"Tamplin is back!"...Sorry, I wasn't aware that he was away! "Are you fed up with the garbage currently being played on rock radio?" Yes...yes we are! "Remember you do have a voice" Really..why I never knew that! This album comes complete with MTV and radio station phone numbers...and what is the reason for this info...simple - to get Mr Tamplin on the air. The big question is...is he any good? Well, bands like Motely Crue...Kiss and even our own Pete Townsend say he is...and on the strength of this album I would say he's really, really OK. He can sing and the music is pretty neat, but the advertising hype led me to think that this was gonna be the best rock/metal thing I'd ever heard. Unfortunately I've also heard the sadly missed Seventh Angel and the brand new Ashen Mortality who have played some of the best filling-shaking mosh-pit music in the past decade..OK I know that it's a different style... but our own Gethsemane Rose are every bit as good as this offering. In short it doesn't live up to the hype, it's OK, a pretty good hard rockin' album that you will probably like, even though you've probably bought the T-Shirt, seen the video and heard the riffs another time and another place.
