Hmm. This is an interesting one by a new (to me) American singer/songwriter. Tessa has a really pleasant voice. However, on the one hand, the vocal seems to be mixed a little too high over the backing tracks in the full-band cuts, and secondly, there are some rather "unusual" background vocal arrangements here and there. That said, the songs are well written and performed, and the guitar/vocal tracks such as "I Have Been Gone" and "I Believe" work really well. Nice banjo in places too. In the end, the quibbles are minor ones as the album is largely acoustic, and those songs are excellent, particularly the hidden final track, beautifully sung - seemingly around a campfire.
