As I recounted in CR57 when I reviewed this outfit's first CD 'I'm Here Lord', Testimony is a band based in Newport, Isle Of Wight, featuring lead vocals, guitar, keyboards and arrangements by Ricky Payne, who's written all but one of the 12 tracks on offer here. Mark Woodford, who wrote the other song, joins in on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Mark's brother Dave supplies the lead guitar. The CD is certainly good value, with over an hour of playing time; the production quality is reasonable; the songs, whilst not pushing out the boundaries of contemporary Christian music, have strong messages if not memorable melodies, but the synths make it sound a little dated. Not quite as good as their first release, but still acceptable.
