On 18th May this year around 450 men from various smaller choirs gathered at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow along with 2,000 people to sing praises to their God and Saviour. The members of the choir are all affiliated to the festivals of Male Voice praise, founded in 1935, and this tape is a recording of that evening. The thing that's mostly missing is the applause, so there is more emphasis on the music and more importantly the words. 25 songs and hymns of praise and love lasting over an hour and a half, so it's excellent value for money. The singing is wonderful and well recorded, the quality of the whole tape being very impressive. The one small, very small, complaint is that there are a few solo slots in the tape. These are equally as excellent as the rest of the tape. It's more of a personal preference for a whole tape of choral work, as mentioned on the tape cover. Having been to the concert and now having the tape, they both complement each other and really do encourage thoughts of God and his great love for us all. As the last track says, "Who can cheer the heart like Jesus?"
