My cousin, Carolyn Townsend (deceased) was the lead singer on this song, the group was located in Brooklyn NY and the other four young ladies were all sisters - Ida Mae, Johnnie Mae, Lula Mae were three, I cannot remember the other name, but it was definitely followed by "Mae." I think their mother's name was Hattie Mae Bennett and she was the manager of the group. Mrs. Hattie Mae and her husband originated from either North or South Carolina. Her husband had a group - singers and musicians, but I cannot remember his first name or the name of the group. I would love to have this recording if anyone knows where it can be obtained. I have been looking for it for years.
