Now here's an odd one. Getting a quasi-gospel choir stuffed full of 'names': Patrice Holloway, Clydie King, Gloria Jones etc., some of whom recorded with Bob Dylan during his gospel music period of the early 80s, and get them to do all Mr Zinnerman's best songs ("The Times They Are A Changin'", "I Shall Be Released", "Mr. Tambourine Man" etc. etc.) arranged and produced like a real church choir complete with organ, tambourines and echoey sound. What precisely one makes of the confused spirituality of a mock-gospel version of "Lay Lady Lay" I know not. But its still an engaging enough re-issue.
