Mike Harding - you know, the bloke who does Radio 2's folk show - would love this. The band's web site (www.thecarpentersson.ca ) describes the band as 'collectively producing a rich intricate sound they can uniquely call their own'. It would be more truthful to describe them as a typical English folk group. Picture dungarees, or the caricature band from The Mighty Wind movie. Nothing wrong in any of this though. If you like traditional folk music then you'll like this. The American six-some write some decent tunes with lyrics that are uplifting and speak of God. Right, I'm off to dance around the campfire with my penny whistle.
