This, the Philadelphia rappers' second album, overshadows its predecessor, 'Heaven's Mentality', building on its foundation but exploding into a powerful team effort that demands your attention. This is where The Cross Movement come of age! Standouts include "Spare Rituals" which humorously pulis no punches but dynamically explores the difference between a real relationship with Christ and religiously believing in God. The title cut is a roll call for the crew, and "Super Stars" has a groovy loop/string sample combination as a foundation for the group to let loose with their uncompromisĀing study of the famous. Combining radical messages that cut through all the discussion, and music that always hits home, The Cross Movement hit their tarĀget and make albums that you have to check out.
