Gavin's first recording, 'In Time', introduced a unique mix to the gospel world of soulful harmonies with a layer of jazz, encased in bedrock of gospel. Album two presents more of the same from the man who developed his love of music on the campus of Oakwood College listening to this father Arnold. The CD opens with "I Need An Answer" starting with a gentle piano introduction, over which is a short spoken part. This provides a good introduction to the gentle, worshipful overall feel of the disc. When the harmonies come in, consisting of nine superb vocalists, you know you are experiencing something special. The harmonies continue throughout the recording peaking in "Peace, Perfect Peace", which finishes the album. In between this we are treated to a touch of big band with Andrew Sisters-style vocals ("We Have A Story") and some great jazz piano, provided by Gavin himself with Benson style electric guitar, played by Roland Gresham on the instrumental "There Is.". This is an album, which, like its predecessor, challenges the gospel music world to stretch its musical wings a little further.
