Combining the talents of three hardcore punk acts in one place is what this recording does. Artists from the Thumper Punk and ZAP Records' roster are featured on the 15 tracks that make up this split recording. Opening with California's The Hoax, we are treated to some classic hardcore, thrashing guitars and chugging melodic sections. Impressive bass runs fill "Satisfied" whilst the slower "Calloused" adds a little variety with its slower pace that breaks into a blistering solo. The next five tracks feature the talents of Hamburg's Praiser and in many ways what they deliver is much more aggressive. Hints of Oi Punk are matched by maniacal screams in "Your Ego" before a more melodic "The Devil Can't Play Rock 'N' Roll" includes a haunting vocal. Topping off this recording on a high are the satirically cutting songs of The Old-Timers. "Apocalypse Now" drives at speed with muted guitars to the lyrics "There is hope in dystopia" and "Walking Stick" is an in-your-face comment on substance abuse. With all proceeds going toward Amnesty International, this recording is well worth seeking out if you enjoy chaotic, melodic, punk rock. The 16 minutes fly past and leave you singing along to the catchy closing number, "Sing What You See".
