After performing live within the Chester area since their formation in 2007, this five piece band are now launching themselves for a wider audience with this six-track debut EP. Considering the band's average age is 17, 'Fight For Your Life' shows remarkable maturity while retaining an unmistakably teenage sound. The title track is a thumping pop-rock rallying call to "wake up" and it's hard not to start tapping along whilst imagining a crowd shouting along at a live concert. "Save My Soul" is another anthemic rocker while "Rescue" opens in a very reflective manner, reminiscent of Yfriday and The Steels, with an enjoyable mix of synth sounds, simple guitar and effective drumming accompanied by a distorted electric guitar. The first lyrics on the EP "This could be the start of something new right here, right now" could well be a statement for what is to follow for The Identity.
