Malcolm and Louise MacDonald live in New Zealand, but this album was recorded in a small studio in Aberdeenshire. The production quality is perfectly acceptable, but Louise's voice has an adenoidal quality that is a definite minus point, and her pitching is sometimes sadly off. Unfortunately the songs are also pretty ordinary, most of them plodding along with unimaginative arrangements and repetitive melodies. And coupled with Louise's vocal deficiencies, this means that they are not a rewarding listen. I suggest that your tenner could purchase something much better than this.
