It's been a major delight for me to watch the music scene discovering the incredible expertise and sheer electrifying power of acappella singing. The human voice is truly the ultimate instrument, the Creator's packed so much creativity therein, such variety, flexibility and emotion. As with all genres, there's a vast range of variations of acappella. This tape and its sister volume 'Moments Of Praise' concentrate on a classic chorale sound, 26 voices offering a programme of fairly familiar songs, arranged by conductor Tom Fettke. The sound is extremely pure, the harmonies precise, yet the chorale still injects enough emotion to convey the beauty of each item. The soloists Dave Williamson and Lisa Glasgow are spot on. Featuring 24 songs this is a superb collection.
