First for the good news. The authors have improved on the
daily office by having a two week cycle rather than a one
week cycle as they did in their first edition. They also
added offices for saints, the Blessed Mother and an office
for the dead. This all adds up to a more robust prayer book
for those desiring to perform a daily office in an abridged
form.
The bad news. They did away with the other sections that
included familiar prayers and ritual prayers and the
sanctoral cycle.
The end result is a book that is a better daily office, but
not quite as good a prayer book. Still, well worth the price
and willmake a fine addition to anyone's prayer book
library.
