A very limited number of these fifty bob demos is available on a first come first served basis, it's a good taster for the soon to be released live album. "Sleazetown" is a merry jaunt with a skifflish backbeat, Phil Wright goes berserk in a frenzy of frantic fiddling, which builds the foundation for the lyric, speaking of Jesus' love for the worst of sinners. By contrast "The Strawberry Girl" is a moody number in a hypnotic minor key. Possibly a touch late-Beatle-ish, it has a more acoustic feel, although the fiddle once again takes the lead in a cascading cycle of triads - don't sack the fiddler, boys! Both tracks feature ex Fat And Frantic keyboards man Nigel Hemming who adds a touch of Hammondish backing.
