Since 2006, this duo from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina have been producing their own brand of crunching death grindcore that pulls no punches. Without exception, these 20 tracks pummel their way through the speakers in rapid-fire succession to build on this reputation. With a haunting intro track of guitars and drums, together with a spoken rant, the title track is introduced as it then thunders on in machine gun style. Vocals scratch in an almost unintelligible way over the bass heavy riffing. Breakdowns litter the "Second Rate Piece Of Trash" and this adds some respite from a speed overload. Rhythmically interesting throughout, there are some memorable passages that at times verge into full-on hardcore, only for normal service to resume as the bass-heavy fuzz returns to generate an earthy drive to the music. Frustratingly, the lyrics do not feature highly as they appear very low in the overall mix and are difficult to pick up. This, for me, meant that one cut was very similar to another and in the end many tracks blended into one. Having said this I liked "The Silent Majority" with its almost Royal Blood-like melody and the repeated chorus of "Activist" which works its way under your skin. The Right Wing Conspiracy make a big sound for just two musicians and will appeal to fans of seriously brutal music.
