One of the north's newest Christian bands, hailing from York. The Rumours play Clannad-style, atmospheric folk and very pretty it is too. Lead vocalist Helen Turner's light, fresh voice is a joy and the band have been gigging extensively in the Yorkshire area in this their first year. This first cassette encompasses five tracks with the opener "Autumn Breeze" being the best of the set, although "Skyline" works well too. Technically, the album could be improved a great deal but the strength of the band is obviously their playing because all tracks are as they say, 100 per cent live and were recorded at the Bonding Warehouse in York. It's a very positive start, let's hope they receive the encouragement they need to make the next step
