To be honest, I didn't think that there were many groups that made this sort of gospel music anymore such has been the force with which R&B has fused with gospel. However Tiffanie Ages, Tamara Moore, Velma Morgan and Amy Simms, the four ladies who make up The Truthettes, have stayed true to the genre's sound and lyric directness to make an album that ministers. Okay, so the lyrics take you down some pretty well trodden paths - "God Will Make A Way" (need I say more?) or "Your Tears" (with its message that God will wipe our tears away in Heaven). "Make It To The City" is of course about getting to the other side. Musically, these women know how to hit a groove and go for it, they also know how to let loose here and there. The highlight for me is the nine-minute ballad "Patient" which is an excellent encouragement that hits the mark. There's also a bit of fun in the admonition "You Gon' Git A Whuppin", fun on the surface but carrying a deeper message of judgement. If old fashioned gospel is yo thang, it's all here.

For years I have been looking for The Truthettes music! I love them! I can remember as a little girl my dad took me to a concert where THE TRUTHETTES performed and I've loved them since then. I can say, every soul in the house was touched that night! TuTu is amazing! I recently received 3 of their CDs from an internet site (mellowman productions I think is the name of it). I'm a member of a female gospel group (BLESSED & HIGHLY FAVORED) who will be celebrating our first year anniversary in December! I'm planning to contact TuTu to see if The Truthettes can come to MS and help us worship on our anniversary!

This is truly an annointed group, I love their songs, EVERYTHING! I can remember years ago, my father who sings with a quartet group had them in Starkville, MS on a program. I was in the 5th grade and Lord knows I enjoyed them so much. I was so amazed at how Tu-Tu song. I felt the spirit I would give anything to be in their presents again. I really wish they would do a reunion album. My entire family loves them.

When the truthettes first started singing at an early age my mother told me the truthettes came to Waterloo,Iowa. My mother and my aunt grew up listening to them and I'm 19 years old and I am listening to them also. TuTu has an amazing gift that was sent from the man upstairs which is her voice. I was wondering...was there is anyway that I could contact someone to see if they would do some type of concert here in Iowa? I know alot of youth and more wiser individuals that are willing to help in anyway. If you can get back to me asap I really would greatly appreciate it.
~God Bless~
