The Valley UK is the worship band from Ribble Valley Church, a fellowship located close to Preston. This is their debut recording - essentially a two-song product, with additional backing tracks of each song and a "radio edit" of one. Lead player is James Baker, who features as co-songwriter, vocalist, guitarist and co-producer. "Ambassadors" is a punchy, percussion and guitar-driven anthem proclaiming our royalty and authority in Christ. "I Stand At The Cross" is a gentler worship song, which builds in atmosphere as it progresses. Beautifully sung by Naomi Parkinson, it sounds vaguely familiar (though I'm informed it's never been recorded before). Take note of the group, for you'll be hearing from them again. Yep, these guys are booked to open next year's Frenzy event in Edinburgh (June 6th) and, equally exciting, they're also soon to be recording a live album for Integrity Music.
