The Cryar sisters and Jones brothers serve us another plethora of progressive, jaunty melodies and hearty lyrics after amazing us with their debut 2010 effort 'Tell Your Mama'. You would be hard pressed to find a group of equally talented musicians anywhere (although their hometown, Nashville, known as Music City, may be a good place to start). The album is a constant stream of consciousness of the four Nashvillians with mostly observational and prophetic musings and biblical themes before finishing on more melancholy, introspective songs of love. It also has an exceptional cover of legendary blues artist Son House's "Grinnin' In Your Face" somewhere in between. Also note, that any band who has the audacity to write an upbeat, catchy song about a thief with bipolar disorder (and pull it off successfully! - "Jolly Robber") is guaranteed to be a hoot!
