This double disc package contains the duo's 'Light Up The Dark' album from 2010 together with remixes of tracks from that album and 'Commanders Of The Resistance' (2007). As all urban gospel devotees will know, sister and brother Rachael and Jekob Washington were two thirds of the successful Souljahz. The remixes work particularly well. The Flatline remixers (who have previously worked with Lecrae, Trip Lee and Newsboys) bring their electro dancefloor influences to tracks such as "Time", "Diamonds" and "Work". Equally effective is the high energy "Move" with its pulsing and driving bass while "Light Up The Dark" is an upbeat and hope-filled declaration of being light in darkness. Both cuts are great representations of their brand of urban gospel delivered with more originality than many in the mainstream scene. Other standouts on the project include the soulfully melodic "My Dream," an ethereal-sounding tune befitting its dreamy title, and the socially conscious "Justus," an upbeat call-to-action anthem against human trafficking. All in all, an impressive package.

Product Description
The Washington Projects is a Christian hip hop group, consisting of siblings Jekob and Rachael Washington from San Diego. In their early career they were known as Souljahz and in 2002 they released their debut album, The Fault is History. The album received critical praise for its mature, in-depth lyrics and songwriting. Souljahz were nominated for 5 Dove Awards and have won twice. Since changing their name they have released Commanders of The Resistance in November 2007 and Light Up the Dark, in 2009.
Rachael became the youngest composer/producer/songwriter in the history of Warner brothers when she was just 17. Space Time Continuum was produced by Flatline Remix. It contains remixes of tracks from their previous Washington Projects albums plus a bonus disc containing the full Light Up the Dark album which was never released to physical CD.
