Noted for their extensive touring and loyal fan base, Thousand Foot Krutch are going from strength to strength and this compilation is an excellent way to see how one of the most distinctive Christian rock bands has developed. Although their first and most recent offerings are absent from the collection, every other studio album from this Canadian trio is represented, along with the addition of two previously unreleased tracks. Died in the wool fans will be satisfied with the inclusion of the edgy "Rawkfist" and "Phenomenon" that include elements of the band's rap core roots. Others will appreciate the punchy "Last Words", and still others, the theatrics of "Welcome To The Masquerade". With not a filler track in the main body of the recording, the TFK sound characterised by raw grit and catchy choruses is showcased here. The two new tracks are not quite of the same quality but offer an insight to some material that never quite made it and are an enjoyable extra. TFK have the ability to take choppy rock and add a depth and warmth to the angriest of riffs. This is a master class in polished rock and is an excellent way to catch up with some classic tracks.
