In America, the 'Christian underground' is a fascinating, fanzine-driven scene where hundreds of grassroots rock bands circulate "demos" and hope for the big time. Few indeed make such a startlingly original rock noise as this foursome from Corpus Christi. Some things just get better and better, and Thre3 are no exception - only exceptional! I love this album! The music seems to be evolving with new keyboard touches, some drum programming and even some rapping on 'Chaos', which both compliment the overall sound. I also enjoy Jeff's guitar playing. It was recorded on 24 track ADAT and cost around $600 to produce - worth every penny! There isn't one song on here that I don't like, but if forced to choose a favourite (or thre3), I would say "Why?", "Liquid Sky" and "Chaos". So just in "Chaos" of misunderstanding, this is even better than Thre3's previous three albums. It deserves its 10 square rating, unfortunately, unlike Spinal Tap's amplifiers, I can't go up to 11. If you're looking for something raw, fresh and original in rock, send for this tape. If I were an A&R man I would sign them in a flash.
