As the sleeve says, this is "the first of a new series of easy-to-use backing tracks on CD created and engineered by Tim Jones" and also helpfully advises that Tim studied music technology at Newcastle College and now "originates recordings on all Roger Jones' musicals and has worked on albums with Peter Johns and Debra Collins." What you get here are two CDs, each containing Christmas material. Disc One, dubbed 'Traditional', gives you 10 tracks played on organ (or a very good electronic imitation of one) with the occasional bit of percussion thrown in, on such annual favourites as "Hark! The Herald Angels", "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "While Shepherds Watched". Useful if the church organ is out of action. Disc Two, labelled 'Modern', offers synth renditions of a few carols, three Graham Kendricks, a Michael Card and a couple of other things as well. Not "modern" in any meaningful use of the word but again, useful if your church doesn't have any musicians to play at this year's Christmas services.
