This instalment of the newly remastered series of early '90s prison ministry recordings by Tony Loeffler and his backing band the Blue Angels kicks off with a great vocal performance from Mary Taylor on her own "Oh Daddy" - a song which is perfectly pitched at the female prisoner audience. The message remains as direct and compassionate - largely thanks to the fact that Loeffler and speaker Marc Tirondola have been in and out of prison many times as inmates before being saved - and a reprise of "Finish Line" from the previous volume works especially well as a challenge to accept Christ. Musically, this is unrefined stuff with a shambolic version of Dylan's "Are You Ready" - featuring a plucky but painful impromptu inmate choir - and an extended version of the old spiritual "We've Come This Far" making this more of an archive document of an undeniably anointed time of ministry than an enjoyable musical experience.
